I know it's cheap but c'mon. I have a stainless steel cheap cross and it's still perfect after 5 months. I bought this small one for my wife and in a month it started turning gray, the chain turned gray too. Caused my wife's skin to start turning gray and irritated where the necklace touched her. Buy stainless is the lesson here if you're buying cheap.
