The ring is not solid metal. The abalone shell with the tree of life is what covers the hole where the ashes are. The whole thing came apart after 4 months.
The product was meant to hold a family member's ashes and it didn’t/ couldn't. Had to go elsewhere and find an alternative. This product was falsely advertised in my opinion.
